This 80 page book contains color photos of 22 of Peter W. Michel's colorful, whimsical sculptures done over a span of 22 years. From the artist's statement: "My work represents a stand for the possibility that art is, for the expression of joy, aliveness, love and relationship. In this book art tutorial, I'm going to teach you one of the basic folds in creating a book sculpture -- the triangle fold -- and how this simple fold can easily be modified to create interesting.

Peter Hide: Standing Sculpture' will be the first publication to survey the upright monolithic constructed steel sculptures Hide has been making since the mid-seventies. Richly illustrated with an essay by Sam Cornish it will chart the development of this important body of work and situate it within the recent history sculpture in Britain.

Peter Hide was born in in Surrey, UK. He studied at Central Saint Martins under Anthony Caro, who he subsequently worked for as an artist assistant.
Hide is part of many international collections, including the Tate Gallery, London and has exhibited internationally.
